ITONF 2017 Workshop: Excellence in Thoracic Oncology Care

We would like to thank all those who participated in our Thoracic Oncology Nurse Workshop held in Yokohama, Japan on Sunday, October 15, 2017 in conjunction with IASLC – 18th World Conference on Lung Cancer. The workshop was well attended and showcased internationally recognized world leaders in thoracic oncology. Nurses and other healthcare professionals from around the world attended the workshop, representing Australia, United Kingdom, United States, Europe, Israel, Canada, Japan, Taiwan, New Mexico and New Zealand. The presentations were simultaneously translated into English and Japanese with topics including Local Therapies for Lung Cancer and Mesothelioma, Wellness and Supportive Care for Lung Cancer and Mesothelioma Patients and Systemic Treatments for Lung Cancer and Mesothelioma. The entire program is now available for viewing on the ITONF website Continuing Education credits (US) or Certificates of Participation are available upon request. There is no cost associated with viewing the program or receiving credits but we do welcome your feedback and suggestions for future topics!

On behalf of ITONF, we would like to thank all of the invited speakers for sharing their time, dedication and expertise. Multiple international collaborations were both established and strengthened as a result of this workshop, ultimately working toward the goal of providing state-of-the-art, high quality nursing care to thoracic oncology patients worldwide.
